Job summary

RIDE Coach and Bus in Lancaster, CA seeks an electrical assembler to determine root causes and solve wiring problems. You will install low/high voltage wiring harnesses, assemble parts, and follow schematics and instructions.

Candidates need hands-on experience with power tools, reading drawings, and basic math, plus strong safety awareness. Monday–Friday, full-time with benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or tech school, plus 1–3 years of electrical related experience.
  • Experience with light/low and high voltage wiring is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Install low voltage components and wiring harnesses per work instructions, routings, blueprints and directives.
  • Assemble and replace parts; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and record labor time.
  • Follow quality standards and safety rules; adapt to process changes.

Job description

SUMMARY

Responsible for determining root cause and solving electrical wiring problems.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Position performs low voltage components installations, and assembles parts according to special written work instructions, routings, blueprints and verbal directives
  • Position performs low and high voltage wiring harness installations
  • Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as required
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Low voltage / High voltage experience
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Records time on labor sheets for each process of assembly
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Skilled in reading comprehension, writing, and basic math knowledge
  • Skilled in the operation of basic hand tools, shop tools' electric pneumatic equipment
  • Competency in the use of measuring devices to stay within required tolerances
  • Ability to learn processes quickly, adapt to process changes and implement those changes
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
  • Must be able to drill, grind, sand, disassemble, reassemble and perform general repairs
  • Use of power tools such as tools where applicable
  • Adapts to change in the work environment
  • Proper use of PPE and observes safety and security procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.), or equivalent from two-year College, or technical school, or One to three year's related electrical related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Mechanical, Construction/General Repairs and knowledge components and mechanical systems.
