IES Residential is seeking an Electric Apprentice in Utah to assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on projects. You will review plans, coordinate with teams, ensure safety and code compliance, and help document work and project progress.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and operational awareness.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and related systems.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and electrical codes.
• Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues under pressure.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, MVR).
• English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support execution.
• Support diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and projects.
• Support project timelines and resolve operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions for safety and efficiency.
• Assist senior technicians and field operations as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication with customers and partners.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
