This is a project-based 1099 contractor opportunity. Work will vary based on project volume, and hours are not guaranteed. As Dark Current Electric grows, strong performers will be among the first people considered for future W-2 positions.

Project-based 1099 Independent Contractor, with potential future W-2 opportunity
Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Tempe & surrounding areas
Residential service, lighting, panel work, EV chargers, remodels, permanent lighting, and light commercial projects
Projects are offered based on workload and availability. Hours are not guaranteed.
$15–$25/hour depending on experience and demonstrated ability

Previous electrical helper experience OR current enrollment in an electrical training program (required)
Dependable transportation

Basic hand tools

Comfortable working outdoors, on ladders, and in attics

OSHA 10 certification
CPR / First Aid certification
Assist with residential and light commercial electrical installations
Carry, stage, and organize tools and materials
Assist with pulling wire and installing raceways
Help install boxes, devices, lighting, fans, and equipment
Support panel replacements, service upgrades, and EV charger installations
Perform electrical work appropriate to your experience under supervision
Protect customers’ property and maintain clean work areas
Follow jobsite safety requirements
Help load, unload, and clean up each project
