Job summary

Wrench Group is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Austin, TX. You will assist senior electricians, perform basic electrical tasks, and provide excellent customer service while learning the trade on the job.

The role emphasizes safety, training, and hands-on experience to help you qualify for an Electrician license/certification. Candidates should have an Apprentice Card, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in tight spaces and climb ladders.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Card required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical understanding.
• Ability to crawl in tight spaces; climb ladders; work in attics and crawl spaces.
• Strong integrity and customer service mindset.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
• Trace out short circuits in wiring.
• Assist lifting, positioning, and fastening wires, conduit, and motors.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies organized.
• Clean work area and dispose of scrap and excess materials.
• Assist pulling wire and positioning materials.
• Operate hand tools under supervision.
• Assist in mounting and strapping conduit.
• Assist senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations.
