Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking an entry-level electrical helper to assist skilled tradespeople in Oklahoma. You will learn to interpret drawings and determine procedures, measure, cut, bend and install conduit, and support wiring installations under supervision.

Responsibilities include aiding in testing, startup, and safety checks of electrical systems, handling hand and power tools, and performing disassembly and repair tasks as needed. Overtime and outdoor work are possible.

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent required with field experience preferred.
Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
Willingness to work outdoors and in variable weather.

Responsibilities

Learn to interpret drawings, sketches, software, plans and determine best work procedures and tools.
Assist skilled craftsman measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
Assist with installation of control and distribution apparatus and fasten in place.
Assist with test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
Observe functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments or replacement.
May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Work with high and low voltage systems.
Assist with disassembly and repair of defective electrical equipment or systems.
Learn to operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools.
