Generator Supercenter, Inc. is hiring an Apprentice / Electrical Helper in Irvine, CA. You will work under supervision of electricians and foremen to assist with generator installations, electrical wiring, and basic construction tasks.

Training is provided to develop electrical, mechanical, and installation skills while following safety procedures. You will load materials, set up job sites, and help with trenching, equipment placement, and site cleanup.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to learn to safely use hand and power tools.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
• Willingness to work outdoors at construction sites in varying conditions.
• Clear communication and ability to follow safety and installation procedures.
• Accurate measurement and basic math for conduit, wire, and equipment placement.
• Keep tools and work areas organized and maintain professional conduct.
• Punctuality and efficient completion of assigned tasks.
• Team-oriented with electricians, technicians, and supervisors, including safety compliance.
• Reliable attendance and prompt communication with supervisors.
• Strict adherence to PPE, electrical-safety, and jobsite safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electricians and Installers with generator installations and related electrical work.
• Load and unload generators, transfer switches, conduit, wire, tools, and materials.
• Transport and organize equipment between warehouse, vehicles, and jobsites.
• Set up work areas, extend power, and protect customer property before installation.
• Assist with electrical installation tasks under supervision, including wiring and conduit work.
• Support generator installation activities and help position equipment.
• Dig trenches and prepare sites for electrical conduits and utilities.
• Perform basic construction tasks like pouring concrete pads and minor framing.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and maintenance equipment after training.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite and store unused materials properly.
• Follow supervisor instructions and comply with safety procedures.
• Protect customer property and work cooperatively with the installation team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
