Generator Supercenter, Inc. is hiring an Apprentice / Electrical Helper to work under supervision with electricians and installation crews on generator installations and maintenance. The role involves loading materials, preparing job sites, and assisting with electrical tasks at customer locations.

This hands-on training position emphasizes safety, proper tool use, and adherence to company procedures as you develop electrical, generator-installation, and construction skills.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn safe tool use.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks and lift equipment.
• Outdoor work at construction sites in varying weather.
• Strong communication and listening skills for safety and installation procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills for conduit, wire, and concrete placements.
• Organizational skills to maintain tools, materials and areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and installers with generator installations and related electrical work.
• Load and unload generators, switches, conduit, wire and tools.
• Transport and organize materials between warehouse, vehicles and jobsites.
• Set up job areas and ensure safety and customer property protection.
• Assist with electrical and generator installation under supervision.
• Perform trenching and site preparation for utilities.
• Contribute to light construction tasks and concrete work.
• Operate hand and power tools safely after instruction.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Follow supervisor instructions and safety procedures.
