Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems under supervision of a licensed electrician. You will gain hands-on experience on real projects while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic electrical knowledge, reading blueprints, and the ability to use power tools. Travel 20–40% and field work in Fort Myers, FL are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma. 0 years of experience. Must enroll in apprenticeship and complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job training each year.
• Must enroll and attend apprenticeship school and maintain a minimum passing grade of 70.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel 20% - 40%.

Responsibilities

• Assists with installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems.
• Measures, cuts, bends, and installs conduit and assists with wire pulls and terminations.
• Uses testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify potential problems.
• Tests electrical equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Follows applicable electrical codes, project requirements, and safety procedures.
• Assists with material handling and keeps tools and work areas organized.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite and storage area.
• Ideal candidate available for field work in Fort Myers, FL.
