Job description

Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking an Industrial Fire Alarm Helper to join our team of over 1,100 of the best fire protection professionals in the industry. This position is based in our Houston, TX location.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment and the service, repair, and maintenance of fire alarm systems under the direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
  2. Assist with diagnosing and evaluating industrial fire protection systems that require servicing, as well as troubleshoot issues during inspections under supervision.
  3. Interact with customers, contractors, vendors, and colleagues professionally and respectfully.
  4. Some overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call hours may be required.
Qualifications:
  • Experience installing conduit, both EMT and Rigid, is preferred.
  • Work experience, training, or education in alarm systems installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Primarily work will be in industrial and commercial locations.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain applicable state licenses.
  • A current Driver's License is preferred.
  • Must satisfy government, federal, and customs background check requirements.
