Job summary

Saber Power Services seeks a motivated and safety-conscious Electrical Apprentice. In this role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage systems under the supervision of experienced Journeymen and Foremen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Enrolled or willing to enroll in a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and electrical components.
• Previous construction or electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., climb structures, and perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground high voltage power lines and equipment (typically 69kV–500kV).
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
• Support construction crews with site setup, traffic control, and equipment operation.
• Learn and follow all company safety protocols, procedures, and utility regulations.
• Attend and complete safety and technical training.
• Perform physical labor such as digging trenches, lifting materials, and climbing poles or towers (with supervision).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, equipment, and job sites.
• Accurately complete job documentation and reports as directed.
