Zero Impact Builders in California is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support licensed electricians on EV charging and renewable energy projects, gaining hands-on experience in installation, wiring, and safety on live sites. This outdoor role requires willingness to travel domestically, read diagrams, use basic tools, and learn electrical diagnostics alongside seasoned technicians.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical or construction experience.
• ET Card is required.
• Willingness to learn EV charging systems and field service.
• Ability to work outdoors on field projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically when needed.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.

Responsabilités

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance and repair of EV charging infrastructure.
• Support electrical work including concrete, conduit, wire sizing, transformers and switchboards.
• Troubleshoot interoperability charging communication on DC fast chargers and adapters.
• Assist with operation of equipment such as bobcats, backhoes, and excavators (as qualified).
• Support field service activities including basic site inspections, visual checks and reporting.
• Maintain job site safety, organization and cleanliness; provide general site support.

Electrical Apprentice

WHO WE ARE:

We are an end-to-end renewable energy provider, offering products to commercial and enterprise clients in EV Charging solutions, Fleet Electrification, Solar Micro-grids, Energy storage, Hydroponic farming and Rain Water/Grey Water collection systems. We have been experiencing tremendous growth in all these areas and operate under several government rebate programs that ensure a steady and reliable flow of revenues. Our company handles the entire flow of providing these products and services beginning with Sales, Provisioning, Design and Engineering, Contracting and Construction, Servicing and Maintenance. We are looking for experienced electrical help, all skills and levels welcomed, for several positions in Southern and Northern California.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems related to EV charging infrastructure and renewable energy projects
• Support electrical work involving:
• Concrete
• Conduit
• Wire sizing
• Transformers and switchboards
• Troubleshoot interoperability charging communication issues on DC fast chargers & adapters.
• Assist with operation of equipment such as bobcats, backhoes, and excavators (as qualified)
• Support field service activities related to EV charging equipment, including basic site inspections, visual checks, and reporting of issues
• Assist senior technicians with onsite maintenance and repair tasks for EV charging stations
• Help collect basic site information, logs, and documentation under direction of supervisors or field technicians
• Maintain job site safety, organization, and cleanliness at all times
• Perform general site and operational support tasks as needed when electrical work is not immediately available
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic electrical or construction experience required
• ET Card
• Willingness to learn EV charging systems, electrical diagnostics, and field service
• processes
• Ability to work in outdoor field environments under varying conditions
• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion, as required by project needs
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
