Job Summary

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at City Brewery plays a vital role in the Maintenance team, ensuring efficient and safe equipment operation. Responsibilities include calibration, installation, and verification of instrumentation systems, PLC troubleshooting, HMI programming, Delta V troubleshooting, and mechanical system understanding. The technician will also build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits, and maintain equipment tracking and calibration databases.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, including Rockwell, Delta V, and Modicon.
• Work with operator interfaces, troubleshooting systems like A-B Panel-View, Factory Talk SE, ME, and Studio software.
• Interpret logic diagrams, instrumentation details, piping and instrument diagrams, motor control schematics, and specifications.
• Handle loop controllers, regulators, transducers, recorders, process controls, pressure, flow, and temperature transmitters, pneumatic control valves, and conductivity meters.
• Work with servo motors and controls.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot motors, drives, control systems, and electrical and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize equipment performance and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts and time spent.
• Ensure safety compliance during all activities.
• Support equipment upgrades and modifications.
• Perform other duties to support business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-8 years of manufacturing maintenance electronics experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and control systems.
• Motivated and able to work independently.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
