Job summary

FPC of Savannah is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer for the Greater New Orleans, LA area. This role involves scoping improvements, planning instrumentation reliability upgrades, and leading troubleshooting across instrumentation, electrical, and controls systems.

The candidate will be the SME for electrical/instrumentation for plant projects, commissioning, and start-up activities, with potential involvement in DCS/PLC projects if experienced.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or automation.
• Industrial experience in petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, or similar industry.
• Experience upgrading instrumentation for reliability.

Responsibilities

• Scoping areas for improvement / upgrades & creating plans for reliability of instrumentation.
• Troubleshooting & resolving issues with instrumentation, electrical, and controls systems.
• SME for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for plant projects, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Can branch out to controls projects if you have experience with this (DCS/PLC systems).
