Job summary

Job Juncture is assisting a client near Columbia, SC in finding an Electrical and Controls Engineer. The role focuses on maintaining and upgrading facility-wide high/medium/low voltage systems and designing manufacturing automation with software and HMI solutions.

The position starts onsite but may evolve toward remote work as you become comfortable. A strong background in power distribution, factory automation, and continuous manufacturing is required along with Rockwell PlantPAx knowledge and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high/medium/low voltage power distribution design and operations.
• 5+ years in factory automation design including networking, software, and HMI.
• 5+ years in a continuous manufacturing environment, preferably food or beverage.
• Experience with hardened Industrial Ethernet networking implementations.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, technicians and contractors.

Job description

Our client is a successful company that provides products to food manufacturers. As long as people will continue to eat, their business is recessionproof.

Their location just south of Columbia South Carolina is expanding and in need of an Electrical and Controls Engineer who will

• Maintain and Upgrade Facility Wide High / Medium / Low Voltage Systems.
• Provide technical and engineering support and advice to other departments.
• Design Manufacturing Automation and Process Control Systems, including software and graphical (HMI) solutions.
• Maintain all manufacturing controls infrastructure, including networks, hardware software and improvements / changes.

Base salary is expected to be in the $105K to $120K range + bonus and their full suite of corporate benefits. At first, this will be an onsite role, but as you get comfortable with it, this can evolve toward remote work.

Requirements

• Degree
• 5+ Years of High / Medium / Low voltage power distribution systems design and operations.
• 5+ Years of Factory Automation systems design, including networking, software design and creation, HMI systems implementation and support.
• 5+ years in a continuous manufacturing environment, preferably food or drink manufacturing, supporting and leading manufacturing and maintenance activities.
• Experienced in Hardened Industrial Ethernet networking implementations.
• Experienced in managing and dealing with specialist consultants, technicians and contractors.
• Skills: Minimum Technical Degree, preferably BSEE. Needs
• to be creative, flexible and self motivated.
• Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Plant PAX system.
• Knowledgeable of all applicable local and International Electrical Codes. (NFPA, IEEE etc.)
• Ability to work onsite as a direct employee without needing immigration sponsorship.
