Zen Sherpa LLC seeks an Electrical & Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team responsible for plant electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and controls. The role focuses on reliability, modernization, and safe operation across multiple production areas.

You will oversee engineering staff, drive capital projects from concept to commissioning, and ensure adherence to NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ISA, and IEEE standards while coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electrical, automation, or control systems engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop electrical, controls, and automation engineering staff.
• Oversee electrical distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Direct PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial network architecture.
• Approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues.

Requirements

• Lead and develop electrical, controls, and automation engineering staff
• Oversee electrical distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and automation systems
• Direct PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial network architecture
• Approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation
• Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues

Qualifications

Required

• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, MCCs, VFDs, and instrumentation
• Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial networks
• Proven success leading engineering teams and projects

Preferred

• PE license
• Master's degree in engineering or business
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or process industries
• PMP or automation/reliability certifications
• Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity and Industry 4.0 technologies
