Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process.
  • Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications in the United States and abroad.
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses.
  • Assist in other responsibilities or projects, as requested or needed.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide high-quality legal services.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about the status of their cases.
  • Ensure compliance with all firm policies and practices.
  • Stay current with developments in patent law and technology sectors relevant to client needs.
  • Perform thorough legal research and draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Participate in client meetings, providing expert legal advice and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, D.C.
  • Admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study.
