The University of Miami's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks part-time faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and lead laboratories in Robotics and Applied AI.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• PhD with demonstrated teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of appropriate technical and/or teaching experience.

• Teach courses and conduct laboratories at the undergraduate and graduate level in Robotics and Mechatronics, Autonomous Systems and Control, Applied AI, ML, and Embedded Systems.
• Lead and mentor student projects and maintain up-to-date course materials and assessments.

Position Overview

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Miami is seeking part-time faculty members to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and lead laboratories in the areas of Robotics and Applied Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities

Teach courses and conduct laboratories at the undergraduate and graduate level in the following subject areas:

• Robotics and Mechatronics
• Autonomous Systems and Control
• Applied Artificial Intelligence (including Generative AI, Trustworthy and Explainable AI, AI-Enabled/Powered Systems, AI in Healthcare Applications)
• Machine Learning and Data-Driven Engineering
• Embedded Systems and Intelligent Hardware

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of appropriate technical and/or teaching experience.
• Ph.D. with demonstrated teaching experience is strongly preferred.
