Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking an Electrical and Automation Technician at our Manawa facility to support the Maintenance team on a 2-2-3 schedule (6am–6pm). The role focuses on PLCs, servo motors, and electrical systems to drive reliability and performance across three local locations.

You will diagnose, repair, and preventive-maintenance tasks, document work in SAP, and collaborate with operators to enhance skills and safety. Associates degree or journeyman preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or journeyman preferred.
• Strong troubleshoot skills with PLCs, servos, and electrical prints.
• Experience with automation networks and electrical schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defective electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and reduce downtime.
• Complete PM tasks according to the monthly schedule.
• Document repair times, tools, and parts used in SAP.
• Collaborate with operators and technicians to troubleshoot failures and improve safety.

Job Description:

About the Role: The Electrical and Automation Technician position at the Manawa location provides support to the Maintenance department, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Important Details:

• Work with PLCs, servo motors, safety devices, drives, and automation networks.
• Diagnose and repair defective mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment across three local manufacturing locations.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to optimize electrical and automation system performance and minimize downtime.
• Complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks according to the monthly schedule.
• Document repair times, tools, and parts used in SAP.
• Collaborate with operators and technicians to troubleshoot failures, enhance skills, and maintain safety and compliance.

This is a full-time, permanent role starting at $38.35 per hour on the 2-2-3 schedule, 6am-6pm.

About You:

• Associate Degree in an Industrial Electrical Technical Field or Electrical Industrial Journeyman is preferred, or equivalent field related experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, servos, and electrical prints.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• High attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude
