Job summary
The Electric Vehicle Specialist at Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) in Chattanooga, TN is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems across diesel, gas, electric, and hybrid vehicles. Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience with heavy-duty vehicle electrical equipment.
- Proficiency with reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience diagnosing EV propulsion, high-voltage components and BMS.
- CDL license or ability to obtain ARC certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Overhaul, diagnose, and repair all electrical and electronic systems on diesel, gas, electric, and hybrid vehicles.
- Read schematics and maintenance manual drawings to support repair work.
- Program PLCs and AC drives and update software as needed.
- Use diagnostic tools and oscilloscope to test and troubleshoot.
- Follow safety procedures when working with high-voltage components.
