Electric Substation M&C Project Manager (Stockton or Bakersfield)

Join to apply for the Electric Substation M&C Project Manager (Stockton or Bakersfield) role at Jacobs.

This role involves managing high voltage transmission, substation, and distribution projects from concept to commissioning, working with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring project success within scope, schedule, and budget.

The position offers a hybrid work model with travel to Stockton or Bakersfield a few times a month for on-site meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and grow project teams across all project phases.
  2. Maintain client relationships and ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
  3. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risks.
  4. Coordinate engineering design, procurement, and construction activities.
  5. Handle project documentation and compliance.
  6. Lead business development efforts and support proposals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing relevant electric power projects.
  • Experience with high voltage transmission, substations, and utility projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with HV substations and transmission lines for utilities.
  • Engineering license (FE or PE).
  • Construction and commissioning experience.
Additional Details

Salary range: $117,300 - $180,000 per year, based on skills and experience.
