IES Residential seeks an Electric Service Technician to assist with electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across residential, commercial, and field environments. You will support project plans, coordinate with teams and vendors, and ensure safety and compliance with codes and policies.
You will maintain thorough service records, interact with customers to relay updates, and help meet project timelines.
The Electric Service Technician is responsible for assisting with electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work while supporting daily operations and customer service activities. This role works closely with customers, employees, vendors, and leadership to ensure electrical systems are serviced safely, accurately, and in compliance with company and industry standards.

High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous electrical service, maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred. Experience within construction, operations, or service environments preferred. Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Entry-level experience supporting field service operations or senior technicians preferred.
Communicate in person, by phone, and through email. Travel as required to support project and operational needs. Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites. Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions. Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment. Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require. Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
