Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is seeking a Manager/Principal to oversee the Transmission Line capital and maintenance program within the Electric Transmission and Substation Programs team. This hybrid role requires coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex programs on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include governance, reporting, and continuous improvement of program processes, with a focus on financial planning and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Job-related experience, 10 years.
• PMI-PMP certification (desired).
• Financial experience (desired).
• Experience with multi-year planning activities (desired).

Responsibilities

• Applies depth and breadth of knowledge of Program Management to the most unique and complex problems. Works autonomously. Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions.
• Represents PG&E to external agencies on sensitive or complex issues; partners with Government Relations on messaging and strategy.
• Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives; may lead initiatives that impact utility or industry developments.
• Leads development of overall strategy to achieve program goals.
• Develops program performance metrics and prepares regular updates to senior management.
• Plans annual and long-term program work, monitors costs vs. budget, and proposes solutions to variances.
• Sets productivity targets, forecasts budgets, and works with peers to achieve financial targets.
• Plans and forecasts short and long-term work with Transmission Line teams; ensures timely closure and available resources.
• Leads implementation of new processes and best practices to improve customer satisfaction, efficiencies, and regulatory compliance.
