Job summary

Qualus Corporation in Hartford, CT is seeking an Associate Project Manager in the Project Management department to help manage a large portfolio of electric utility T&D projects. Under general direction, you will assist in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, coordinating with design, site, permits, and construction teams.

You will support permit approvals, budgets, schedules, contract administration, and procurement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred) or related discipline.
2–5 years of electric utility construction or project management experience.
Knowledge of project management techniques and project management software.
Knowledge of design and construction of electric transmission, distribution, and/or substations.
Effective written and oral communication; experience composing executive communications.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and laws.
Assist with department progress reporting, management of schedule, budget, outage coordination, contract administration.
Manage the development and evaluation process for bid documents related to engineering, design, and construction.
Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment for project execution.
Ensure thorough documentation and completion of all project phases.
Independently manage smaller projects, demonstrating proficiency in the full Engineer, Procure, Construct project lifecycle and project controls requirements.
