Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Shop Technician in Elkridge, Maryland.
The role requires diagnosing and repairing electrical generator systems and related engine components, with a first shift schedule and a starting hourly wage between $30.45 and $44.40. The EPG Shop Technician is responsible for accurately diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing basic operational failures to electrical generator systems and basic engine failures or related components.

- Must be able to work additional hours as required and travel as needed to attend training
- Must be proficient in the use of technical software, databases and manuals

- Previous experience diagnosing and troubleshooting basic engine failures and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment or completed EPG Apprenticeship program
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit
- Must be capable of lifting up to 70 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
