Job summary

Accelera in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Warehouse Associate and Electric Pallet Jack Operator to manage loading, storage, and distribution of inventory, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries.

You will work with shipping/receiving, use forklifts and pallet jacks, follow SOPs, train new hires, and support daily warehouse operations for daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods, bend/reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage loading/unloading of transport vehicles; verify documentation and inspect cargo for damage or measurement errors.
• Operate stand-up/sit-down forklifts, riding pallet jacks, and hand jacks to move and palletize goods.
• Ensure outbound shipments are prepared correctly; apply labels and ready ULDs for shipping accuracy.
• Validate shipment counts and document damages; sign Bills of Lading for records.

Working alongside our shipping and receiving departments at our Los Angeles facility, you will contribute to the efficiency of our daytime warehouse operations.

Your Contributions

• Manage the loading and unloading of transport vehicles while verifying documentation and inspecting cargo for any signs of damage or measurement errors.
• Utilize various equipment, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, riding pallet jacks, and hand jacks, to facilitate the movement and palletization of goods.
• Ensure outbound shipments are prepared correctly by matching documentation, applying necessary labels, and readying ULDs to improve overall shipping accuracy.
• Validate shipment counts and document any damages while signing off on Bills of Lading to maintain precise records.
• Organize and stage cargo in a secure, systematic fashion using booking sheets or our Warehouse Management System to streamline facility workflow.
• Follow standard operating procedures to meet quality benchmarks, which may include performing freight recouping or rework tasks.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly workspace to support overall facility cleanliness and inventory management.
• Support the growth of the team by assisting in the training of new hires and contributing to the refinement of operational procedures.
• Carry out specialized site tasks, such as conducting weekly bond inspections and adhering to security protocols for bonded import freight.

Requirements for Success

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess the physical capability to stand or walk for extended durations, perform frequent bending and reaching, and lift up to 50 lbs to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• At least 6 months of prior experience working in a warehouse setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of forklifts and riding pallet jacks.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and a commitment to achieving site-specific performance metrics and KPIs.

Additional Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Prior background in freight forwarding or external warehouse environments.
• Knowledge of shipping manifests, delivery orders, and Bills of Lading.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish are considered an asset.
