Are you ready to drive impact as a full-time Account Executive with Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange? This position will be based in a dynamic territory covering Nebraska and parts of Kansas, Colorado and South Dakota . From meeting with rural electric cooperatives to strengthening member relationships, this role offers the ideal balance of independence, challenge, and professional growth.

THE BASICS

Pay & Perks : You'll enjoy the freedom of a remote position with travel, a starting salary of $90,000/year (based on experience), a company-provided vehicle, a computer, a printer, and mobile phone.

Schedule : This is a full-time position with regular travel and overnight stays to meet with members. As an Account Executive, however, you'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule to best serve your members across the assigned region.

YOUR DAY AS AN ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE WORKING WITH RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVES:

As an Account Executive, you will spend your days traveling across your muti-state territory to connect with members and consult with decision-makers at rural electric cooperatives, providing expert advice on maintaining and improving utility insurance programs. You'll travel to member locations across your multi-state territory, sharing information, comparisons and quotes, customizing coverage, and offering guidance to minimize potential risks. As you assist clients with their needs, you'll stay engaged with the industry by representing Federated at statewide, regional, and annual meetings, continually learning and applying your knowledge. You'll also manage detailed records of member information, ensuring seamless support.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS AN ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to set priorities
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and responsiveness
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, internet, and essential office tools
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn commercial insurance, electric utility operations, and Federated's services and policies
  • Ability to travel overnight

At least three years of experience in property and casualty insurance sales or over five years in rural electric utility experience is preferred.
