Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a supplemental manufacturing associate in Mossville, IL to set up and operate machines that build stators and propulsion modules for electric drives.

The role involves welding, CNC finishing, and assembly work, with a focus on quality and safety. Shift is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, requiring overtime and weekend availability as needed; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• A mechanical background or industrial assembly experiences.
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and adjusts machines to manufacture, assemble, and test stators and propulsion modules for electric drives.
• Operate MIG and Plasma weld machines; repair non-standard weld flaws and inspect welds.
• Use blueprints, gauges, torque devices to ensure quality conformance.
• Set-up, operate CNC Lathe for finishing parts.
• Operate and monitor robotic equipment for stator welding and assembly and test assemblies.
