Job summary

UNC Finance and Operations is seeking an Engineer Technician within the Electric Distribution Systems Engineering group to assist in design, review, construction monitoring, and project management of electrical infrastructure upgrades. You will collaborate with contractors and utilize GIS data and Maximo to create sketches and manage work orders.

The role requires familiarity with GIS, SCADA, and Maximo systems, supporting reliability improvements and expansion across the university electric

Qualifications

• Experience with electric distribution systems engineering and related infrastructure.
• Familiarity with GIS data, drawings and facility models.
• Ability to produce sketches and support design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, design review, construction monitoring and project management for maintenance, repair, renovation and new construction.
• Coordinate with contractors and designers on EDS system upgrades.
• Produce and manage work orders and electrical drawings using Maximo and GIS data.
