Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Switching Supervisor role within the electric distribution team to manage service restoration and switching activities. You will coordinate with on-call field and office personnel, provide reporting on outages and system conditions, and pursue ROC switching certification while providing shift leadership.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of related experience and a solid understanding of the Electric Distribution System, with strong interpersonal, written and verbal

• Requires at least 2-3 years directly related experience (in addition to preferred Associate's degree or its equivalency in directly related experience).
• Understanding of the Electric Distribution System
• Skills: Interpersonal; strong written and verbal communications; analytical; personal and mainframe computer applications.
• Abilities: Independent and sound problem resolution; address multiple tasks simultaneously; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities; Leadership abilities.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for service restoration and distribution switching activities using extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems including technical knowledge of operations and switching practices. E nsures all reporting is completed to keep management informed of system conditions, circuit outages, key and critical customer interruptions, and extended outages. Communicates with on-call/duty field and office personnel on status of distribution outages and service restoration efforts. Will complete the Switching Supervisor Training Program to become ROC switching certified. Provides leadership to a shift-oriented workforce.

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position.
