Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, field maintenance operations, or related electric utility experience.
• Must obtain a California Driver's License by first day of employment.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field available would be preferred.
• Knowledge of the California Public Utility Commission General Orders (GO) 95, 128, 165 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Embodies and leads with safe behaviors in all aspects of work performance.

• Facilitates or leads weekly team meetings/safety tailboards and conducts training as needed.
• Regularly visits work sites (at least 50% of time) to monitor progress and employee performance.
• Ensures customer needs and expectations are met with clear, professional, proactive communication.
• Ensures maintenance and construction work is completed safely, on time, and within budget and quality expectations.
• Completes and maintains all work documentation or reporting.
• Identifies and reacts to complex field decisions, considering cost, risk, safety, quality, and customer impact.
• Effectively utilizes resources by monitoring crew productivity.
• Builds constructive peer relationships and provides feedback.
• Responds to emergencies and outages; may serve as field leader in major activations.
• Supervises staff, including bargaining unit employees, to accomplish results through recruitment, training, performance management, and rewards.
