Job summary

We Energies seeks Electric Distribution Engineering Interns in Milwaukee, Appleton, or Green Bay locations. The role runs May 2027 through the summer, paying $23.10–$27.55 per hour with holidays.

Interns will support planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric distribution system. Responsibilities include design and maintenance support, using software to model the grid, and analyzing data to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a graduation date of June 2027 or later.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Supporting electric distribution design, construction, and maintenance projects.
• Utilizing software tools to model the distribution grid and its components.
• Analyzing distribution system data to identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaborating with engineers and other technical professionals on day-to-day operations and project initiatives.
• Gaining practical experience with electric distribution systems and utility engineering practices.
