Eversource Energy seeks an intermediate Electric Distribution Designer progression role to work on field and design work for the company’s electrical distribution system. You will gain experience and training for advancement, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders across the organization.

The role requires an Associate degree or two years of related education/experience, with potential for progression and union considerations as noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or related field, or 2 years of combined education and related experience.
• Experience equivalent to 18 months at Electric Distribution Designer 3, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering/engineering technology.
• Must pass EEI Tech Test; knowledge of NEC/NSC for Eversource service requirements.

Responsabilités

• Perform Electric Distribution Designer 1 duties with limited supervision.
• Design and write projects with details for timely scheduling and completion.
• Interface with departments to coordinate distribution project information.
• Provide cost estimates and designs for new services, relocations, and upgrades.
• Participate in weekly planning meetings and support storm/restoration assignments.
