Pima County Elections Department in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Elections Aide for Early Boards to support ballot processing and equipment readiness for polling sites. You will assist with tabulation and maintain accurate daily logs while ensuring clear communication within the team.
The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions; on-call work and overtime may be required, with certifications per state guidelines.
Elections Aide – Early Boards (Classified position, Grade 1, Salary $17.04–$20.03 per hour; hiring range $17.04–$23.02).
Must be a registered voter with current registration in Pima County.

Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated and scored against any advertised preferred qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Some positions may require satisfactory completion of a personal background investigation by the court or law enforcement agencies, due to the need for access to County Attorney and Court facilities, records, and communication systems. The County requires pre‑employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post‑offer, pre‑employment background screening that includes verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. A prior criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment with the County.
