MOSES (Metropolitan Organizing Strategy Enabling Strength) seeks an Election Protection Organizer to lead nonpartisan voter protection during the 2026 cycle in Metro Detroit, MI, with statewide travel. You will recruit and mobilize clergy, congregants, and community leaders as volunteers, coordinating poll monitoring and voter education.

This organizing role emphasizes leadership development, relationship-building, and building long-term civic infrastructure through congregations.

Formación

• 2–3 years of community organizing experience (faith-based or issue-based preferred).
• Ability to build relationships and develop grassroots leaders.
• Strong facilitation and training skills.
• Commitment to racial justice, democracy, and community empowerment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, especially during election season.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and develop leadership across congregations and partners.
• Coordinate nonpartisan election protection activities (poll monitoring, voter education, reporting).
• Design and facilitate trainings for volunteers on voter rights and de-escalation.
• Track recruitment, training, and field activity; ensure 501(c)(3) compliance.
• Collaborate with statewide partners and MOSES leadership on strategy.
