Resource Options, Inc. (ROI) seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Long Island team.

The role covers design of electrical systems across healthcare, education, municipal, mixed-use and industrial facilities, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team from planning through construction documents. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with 2-10 years’ experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
  • P.E./EIT license desirable.
  • 2-10 years of experience.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using energy modeling software is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Accreditation in LEED, Green Globe, or ASHRAE High Performance Buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Produce contract documents including plans and specifications that are consistent with the scope of work, schedule and fee allotted to complete the work.
  • Prepare drawings and specifications in compliance with best practices, project design goals, and Emtec’s quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and plumbing engineers on electrical requirements.
  • Perform construction administration including RFIs, submittals, field inspections, and detailed inspection reports.
  • Conduct and attend meetings with owners, contractors, external and internal design team members.
  • Knowledge of service utilities, power distribution, fire alarm, UPS, emergency power, lighting, and low voltage infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with annual energy use projections and analysis.
  • Prepare engineering reports and LEED submission calculations.
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies.

Electrical Engineer - Long Island

Our client is currently seeking Electrical Engineers to join their Team. This individual will be responsible for the design of electrical systems across a variety of markets including Healthcare, Educational, Municipal, Mixed use and Industrial facilities. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages through construction documents. Primary duties include development of contract plans, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations.

The candidate should be self-motivated with an initiative to deliver high quality, technical designs. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer needs to be a conceptual thinker who can communicate well with clients and other design professionals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Conduct and attend meetings with owners, contractors, external and internal design team members
  • Knowledge of but not limited to the following; service utility coordination, power distribution, fire alarm, UPS, emergency power systems, lighting, and low voltage infrastructure
  • Familiarity with annual energy use projections and analysis
  • Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations
  • Prepare engineering reports
  • Prepare calculations for LEED submission for projects
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies
QUALIFICATIONS

Salary $75,000 - $110,000 Depending on Experience.
