Job summary

A leading technology company in North Carolina is seeking an Assembly Technician to conduct various assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience, along with knowledge of hand tools. You'll work onsite using machinery and will be responsible for quality testing as part of the production process. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of tools (tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools) as needed.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder during the job, as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Conduct all types of assembly work to produce semi‑finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing integrated with production lines.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
  • Perform work manually or with light hand tools.
  • Use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
  • Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications for the role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of tools (tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools) as needed.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder during the job, as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization permitting employment for ABB in the U.S.
