Job summary

ABB's Distribution Solutions Division in Mebane, NC is seeking an experienced Wire Harness Assembler. You will cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires to harness boards following engineering drawings, and perform routine QC tests.

You will operate semi-automatic wire processing machines and a digital guided assembly station, maintain a clean work area, and strictly follow SOPs. 8+ years in manufacturing and US work authorization required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Wiring experience considered a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wire harnesses by cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering and terminating wires per drawings.
  • Perform QC checks and testing using testers and custom devices.
  • Operate semi-automatic wire processing machines and digital guided assembly station.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow SOPs.
  • Perform occasional rework as needed.

Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to:Production Supervisor__The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NCYour role and responsibilities:Conducts all types of assembly work to produce wire harnesses by cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and terminating wires on harness boards based on engineering drawings and best practices.Performs regular quality control and testing as part of a defined production process manually using continuity testers or atomically using custom testing devices. Performs rework if needed.Performs work manually by using light hand tools.Operates semi-automatic wire processing machines.Sets up and uses a digital guided assembly station for wire harnesses.Operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area.Qualifications for the role:8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
