This position reports to

Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

Executes the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB Standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.Operates machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.Performs routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairs and fits simple replacement parts.Ensures the availability of required materials to execute the assigned work according to defined workflow.Ensures regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tool set-up, programming activities, and troubleshoots and reports issues, if any.Maintains a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.Maintains detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities.Keeps track of approved, defective units, and final products

Qualifications for the role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools.
  • Knowledge of 5S – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain
  • Knowledge and use of necessary PPE
  • Ability to use crane or other lifting devices, as needed
  • Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language
  • Basic computer skills to be able to look up parts.
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic communication skills
  • Hand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands
  • Prior experience working in a fabrication department preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
