Job summary

Kenaitze Indian Tribe seeks a Dishwasher to support the Elders program. You will help with kitchen cleanup, wash and return dishes, and assist the Assistant Cook with sanitizing work areas.

The role requires 18+ years old, a current Food Worker's Card or within 30 days of hire, and compliant handling of confidential information with a service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Food Worker's Card or completion of exam within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash and return all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, cups and glasses to proper places.
• Wash and sanitize dish area and food prep areas at end of shift.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors when custodians are unavailable.
• Serve meals and remove used dishes during lunch service as a team member.
• Treat clients with respect and courtesy; maintain confidentiality.
• Comply with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and policies, including TERO.

Job Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for kitchen cleanup, including cleaning and returning dishes to the proper place, clean and sanitize the dish area and assisting the Assistant Cook with cleaning/sanitizing work areas.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for washing and returning all used dishes, pots and pans, silverware, cups and glasses to proper places
• Wash and sanitize dish cleaning area and food preparation areas at the end of each shift
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors when custodians are unavailable
• Perform as a team member during lunch service to include serving meals and removing used dishes from tables
• Treat un'ina (clients) with respect and courtesy
• Adheres to the Kenaitze Indian Tribes policies, procedures and Tribal Court Codes to include, but no limited to, reporting cases of suspected vulnerable adult, elder or child abuse or neglect
• Maintain confidentiality
• Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance
