This full-time, in-office role focuses on estate planning, trust administration, elder law, and related tax issues, with a collaborative team and long-term client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in trust and estate planning, NY Bar admission, and strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years of experience in trust and estate planning and administration.
• Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax law.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
• Counsel on wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving, and tax planning.
• Administer trusts and estates, including probate and Surrogate's Court filings.
• Draft, review, and interpret complex estate planning documents and trust agreements.
• Coordinate with financial advisors and other professionals to implement comprehensive estate plans.
• Handle guardianship and elder law matters (Medicaid planning).
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and provide excellent client service.
