You will contribute to a compassionate kitchen environment serving elders and others with self-care needs. The position requires basic education, sanitation certification, and the ability to cook large quantities with knowledge of dietary procedures.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Sanitation certificate is required.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Follow dietary restrictions and provide alternatives for residents.
• Maintain sanitation, hygiene, and safety in kitchen operations.
• Work with residents with varying abilities and schedules.
• Demonstrate initiative and mature judgment in decision making.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
