Job summary

Senior-Solutions-Management-Group is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant in Jackson Square, Tennessee. You will plan and execute resident activities to support spiritual, emotional, recreational, and social well-being, under the supervision of the Activity Director.

You will invite residents to participate, coordinate with volunteers, and assist with transport and event setup. Strong English skills, a high school diploma, and a year of eldercare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Must possess a high school degree or equivalent.
• One year experience with elderly preferred.
• Creative aptitude for arts, crafts and games.

Responsibilities

• Set up and carry out activities as planned by Activity Director.
• Clean Activity room between activities.
• Invite residents to activities and assist returning to apartments.
• Attend Activity Planning meeting with Activity Director.
• Assist volunteers with activities.
• Assist with cleaning the bus.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Observe residents for changes and report to Activity Director.
• Continue activities in the director's absence.
• Assist with holiday themes setup and takedown.
• Notify care staff of nursing needs.
• Attend all staff meetings.
