York Law Firm in California seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney with 5–10 years of CA civil litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will represent victims in elder abuse and wrongful death cases, provide counsel through trial and/or appeal, and manage cases from pre-litigation through trial in an in-office, full-time role.

This position emphasizes ethical advocacy, client communication, and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and a four-year college degree.
• CA bar admission in good standing for ≥5 years.
• Minimum 5 years civil litigation experience in CA state and federal courts.
• Minimum 1 jury trial as first chair; experience with arbitration/hearings.
• Experience taking and defending depositions of all witness types.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation for elder abuse and wrongful death victims and families through all phases of litigation and trial.
• Manage a caseload from pre-litigation through trial; gather evidence and coordinate with experts.
• Develop discovery plans, conduct depositions, and handle e-discovery tasks.
• Maintain regular client communication and manage expectations throughout the case.
• Collaborate with team, public agencies, medical professionals and others to build strong cases.
