Job summary

The Academies of Math and Science is seeking an English Language Development (ELD) Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Tucson, AZ. This is a full-time, on-site role with a focus on high-quality language instruction for multilingual learners.

The ideal candidate will differentiate instruction, utilize data to guide planning, and collaborate with families and staff to support equitable language access and academic success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ESL certification required.
• Experience teaching English Language Development to multilingual learners desired.
• Background checks and IVP clearance required.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned English Language Development instruction to multilingual learners.
• Differentiate instruction based on language proficiency and learning needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across content areas.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and language development.
• Participate in professional development and PLCs.
