BairesDev is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design and build search-driven services that deliver fast, relevant results. You will own the systems behind discovery and work with Elasticsearch, data modeling, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in back-end software engineering.
• Proven expertise with Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, REST APIs, and data modeling.
• Experience with Java or Python and containerized environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop back-end services that power search and retrieval features.
• Model indexes and mappings to support relevance and speed.
• Tune queries, analyzers, and ranking to improve result quality.
• Scale clusters and manage data ingestion for growing volumes.
• Monitor performance and resolve bottlenecks in production.
• Work with product teams to translate search needs into technical solutions.
