Job summary

Reporter Newspapers seeks an experienced AWS/Azure Security Engineer/Architect with DevOps expertise to lead cloud governance, IAM/RBAC, and infrastructure automation. You will drive migrations, secure cloud platforms, and mentor teams in IaC practices.

Responsibilities include administering CMP tasks, coordinating migrations with DTO and clients, and maintaining shared services across AWS and Azure, with a strong emphasis on security, testing, and operations leadership.

Qualifications

• 10 years infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture experience.
• 8+ years technical architecture experience.
• 5-7 years AWS (IAM, Organizations, Networking Architectures, Cost Mgmt controls).
• 3-5 years Azure (RBAC, Azure AD, Networking Architectures, Cost Mgmt controls).
• 3-7 years enterprise cloud architecture or governance experience.
• 3-5 years Terraform and infrastructure as code experience.
• 3-5 years cloud migrations and platform operations.
• 3+ years technical leadership and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration, automation, and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP).
• Work with DTO and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to the DTO cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain continuity of shared services offered across AWS and Azure.

Job ID: SC-12901 Hybrid/Local AWS/Azure Security Engineer/Architect with DevOps, IAM/RBAC/AD, governance, Terraform/IaC, migrations, Kubernetes, Docker, penetration testing, threat detection, wServiceNow/Datadog/Dome9/Aviatrix and Public Cloud experience

Location: Columbia, SC (ADMIN) Duration: 12 Months First week on site to get acclimated to team. After that, consultant should plan 3 days per month onsite. Remainer of time is remote. Onsite cadence will be scheduled with the manager after start. Vendor partner needs to be aware they will be an onsite element and plan accordingly. Work Location: Hybrid (3 days per month onsite) Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident. No relocation allowed.

Background in DevOps, Software Development, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering. Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment.

Required Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science or information systems and 8+ years of technical architecture experience and relevant hands‑on engineering.

Required / Preferred Certifications: AWS and/or Azure certifications preferred
