Job summary

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.
A bachelor's degree or enrollment in approved educator preparation program preferred.
Eligibility to pursue Texas teacher certification through an approved educator preparation program.
SBEC Certification required within two years of acceptance of the CISD Teacher Apprentice program.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities to guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
Assess student progress using formative, summative, and performance-based measures and provide progress reports as required.
Support co-teach, in-class small group instruction during lesson cycles, and/or pull-out during the last 30 minutes of an instructional block.
Monitor student work and provide feedback under teacher supervision.
