Job summary

Little Elm ISD seeks an ELAR Teacher for DAEP in Little Elm, Texas. The role focuses on delivering core literacy instruction, aligning with district curricula, and fostering intellectual, emotional, and social growth for students.

You will work under the Campus Principal, collaborate with staff, and participate in professional development to support diverse learners and adhere to district policies.

A Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with ESL credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core ELAR subject area
• ESL Certification required for all Elementary (K-5) positions
• ESL Certification required for ELA and Special Education (6-12)
• ESL Certification preferred for all other content areas

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations for individual students.
• Use instructional strategies and materials appropriate to diverse learners.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with other staff to modify curricula for special education students per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers; supervise completion.
• Monitor student achievement through formal and informal assessments.
• Participate in staff development and comply with district policies and classroom regulations.
• Direct the work of assigned instructional aides.
