Job summary

PRACTICE is seeking an Education Champion to provide in-person ELA tutoring to grades 6–8 in New York. The role focuses on one-on-one and small-group instruction, collaborating with teachers to tailor engaging lessons and accelerate student learning.

Ideal candidates are degree-seeking students or graduates with a 3.0+ GPA in Education or a related field, and a commitment to flexible, 10–35 hour weekly availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in core subjects (Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science) and Regents exam prep.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and adapt instruction to student needs and learning styles.
• Help close the opportunity gap by supporting urban students’ academic and personal development.
