Job summary

National Heritage Academies (NHA) seeks an ELA Curriculum Specialist to support curricular needs and resources in Mideast Michigan schools. This role reports to the ELA Curriculum Manager and involves creating professional development for teachers and leaders.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Education, 3–5 years of ELA teaching experience, and ability to travel up to 50% as needed. NHA is an equal-opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of English Language Arts teaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ELA state standards and data-driven instruction.
• Ability to travel up to 50% depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate professional development for teachers and leaders on instructional strategies, data response, and curricular tool implementation (K-12 ELA).
• Develop and revise lesson plans, assessments, and instructional routines for K-12 ELA teachers.
• Collaborate with school leadership to coach teachers on effective instruction, data analysis, and assessment administration.
• Research and promote best practices in ELA.
• Model effective literacy instruction.
• Additional duties as assigned.
